New cast members include Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, and Kadeem Hardison, along with an award-winning production team.
The Phenomenon Returns with More Stars and Greater Ambition
HBO has officially announced the cast and production team for the third season of Euphoria, the network’s original drama series that has become a cultural icon and one of the most-watched productions in HBO history. Created, written, and directed by Sam Levinson, the series has won multiple Emmy Awards, solidifying Zendaya as one of the most influential actresses of her generation. The third season, produced in collaboration with A24, has already begun filming in Los Angeles.
Since its debut, Euphoria has received 25 Emmy nominations and nine wins, including two awards for Zendaya as Best Actress in a Drama Series and one for Colman Domingo as Outstanding Guest Actor. Additionally, Levinson earned recognition from the Directors Guild of America (DGA) for directing the episode “Stand Still Like the Hummingbird.”
A Star-Studded Cast with Big Surprises
The original cast returns with Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Colman Domingo, Martha Kelly, and Chloe Cherry, who is now part of the main cast. However, what has caught the most attention is the addition of new stars to the production.
One of the most unexpected signings is singer Rosalía, who will make her acting debut in the series. The artist expressed her excitement in an official statement: “If there’s something that excites me as much as creating a great melody or writing incredible lyrics, it’s becoming a better performer every day. Euphoria has been my favorite series in recent years, and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to act alongside these incredibly talented people I admire so much.”
In addition to Rosalía, the cast now includes Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Marshawn Lynch, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, and Anna Van Patten. Former NFL player Marshawn Lynch also shared his enthusiasm: “I’m super excited about the show and the opportunity to work with this incredible team. In the end, I’m just grateful for the opportunity.”
Meanwhile, Kadeem Hardison, who previously worked with Zendaya on K.C. Undercover, said: “I was incredibly happy when I found out I was cast. It’s amazing to be back alongside Z. We formed a strong friendship and have remained very close, so this is truly special.”
An Award-Winning Production Team
To maintain the visual and narrative quality that defines Euphoria, the third season will see the return of Julio C. Perez IV as supervising editor and co-producer, Marcell Rév as director of photography, Doniella Davy in makeup, Ryan Heffington in choreography, and Kim Kimble in hairstyling.
New notable additions to the production team include costume designer Natasha Newman-Thomas, production designer François Audouy, and co-producer Colleen Atwood, a multiple Academy Award winner for costume design.
What Can We Expect from the New Season?
Although HBO has yet to reveal plot details, the third season is expected to continue exploring the complex psychology of its characters in an even darker and more cinematic tone. Levinson, known for his ambitious visual and narrative approach, has promised to surprise fans with new perspectives and a significant evolution in the story.
With the arrival of ROSALÍA, Lynch, and Hardison, along with an outstanding production team, everything points to Euphoria once again breaking barriers. Will this be the most impactful season yet? Only time will tell.
