Despite the commitment of many and the leadership of public and private entities, there is still a lack of awareness in waste separation. Even so, there are more and more people who are committed to its separation and deliver their waste in the most hygienic way possible to the collectors.
Jorge Arturo Sánchez Corredor is one of those new recyclers who has never opened a garbage bag to rescue the waste. According to data from -RURO- as of July 2022, the towns with the highest number of registered recyclers are Kennedy with 17.64% (4,948 registrations), followed by Ciudad Bolívar with 10.95% (3,071), Bosa 9, 21% (2,583), Suba 8.65% (2,247), Engativá 4.77% (1,339) and Fontibón 4.13% (1,157 registrations).
