September has officially arrived and with it comes new seasons of Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med with One Chicago Wednesdays finally making their way back to our calendars for the first time since May.
Things are poised to change on Chicago PD. The procedural drama dished out some devastating moments last season, like the death of Anna Avalos (Carmela Zumbado), and during the interim, like the impending departure of Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), which means that there will be new blood in the IU.
If the first promos for the new season have been any indication, we’re in for some wild and crazy starts across the three series — including on Chicago PD. The arrival of season 10 for One Chicago’s police drama also marks a bittersweet note as it will kick off the beginning of the end of Jesse Lee Soffer’s time on the show as Det. Jay Halstead, with Soffer set to depart the show sometime this fall.
So will the countdown to Halstead’s farewell begin tonight? Or will our wait for his sendoff have to wait another week?
When is the Chicago PD season 10 premiere?
While there won’t be a new episode of Chicago PD to enjoy on Sept. 14, today does mark the one-week countdown to the new seasons! That’s right, the tenth season of PD will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10/9c following the season premieres of Chicago Med and Chicago Fire.
Is Chicago PD new tonight? (Sept. 14, 2022)
The good news is that a new season of Chicago PD is just around the corner, the bad news is that there is not a new episode of PD airing this Wednesday night on NBC. While the One Chicago series will soon return to NBC’s Wednesday night primetime block, NBC will be airing an episode of Password followed by the season finale of America’s Got Talent this evening.
