Although based on true events, Netflix’s ‘Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’ series has some differences from real life, such as mixing the experiences of two real-life women for Glenda Cleveland’s character.

Dahmer told Flowers that he would take him to his grandmother’s house to get another car and start Ronald’s, but at his house he gave him a coffee with a substance that put him to sleep.

Flowers woke up confused at Milwaukee General Hospital and claimed he only survived because Dahmer’s grandmother knew he was there and the killer probably had to control his impulses. He reported it to the police, but was ignored.

Somsack Sinthasomphone the brother who escaped from Jeffrey Dahmer

When he was 14 years old, Konerak Sinthasomphone was attacked and killed by Jeffrey Dahmer in 1991. But years before, in 1988, the killer had already abused his older brother, Somsack.

True to his modus operandi, Dahmer persuaded Somsack to come to his apartment and offered him money for nude photos of him. Upon arriving at his house, the murderer drugged the minor and sexually abused him, but did not kill him.

Somsack went with the police and they arrested Dahmer, but he only received a sentence of one year in prison with five years of probation, although a week later he was released after paying bail. Three years later he murdered Somsack’s brother.

In the 2017 Oxygen documentary ‘Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks’, Preston Davis talks about meeting Dahmer in Germany when he was 20 and the killer was in the military.

Davis confesses that in 1979 he was drugged and abused by Dahmer while they were conducting a field exercise in Belgium. The reason he didn’t kill him was because they were in the middle of nowhere and Dahmer didn’t know how to get back to Germany.

Billy Capshaw was tortured by Jeffrey Dahmer in the army

In an interview for The Wrap in November 2017, Billy Capshaw reveals that he met Dahmer in the army as roommates, when he was 17 and the killer was 20.

On the Surviving Jeffrey Dahmer website, it is detailed that Billy was tortured, raped, and controlled for months by Dahmer and that total control may have been the reason Dahmer kept him alive.
