The award-winning Mexican singer-songwriter, Julieta Venegas forms part of the original soundtrack for the Netflix film, “Chupa”, by Jonás Cuarón that will premiere on Friday, April 7th on Netflix.
Venegas performs the original song Siempre Volaré (En Tus Sueños) and co-wrote the track with the movie’s composer Carlos Rafael Rivera (The Queen’s Gambit, Godless, Hacks, Just Beyond) & director Jonás Cuarón. The song was produced by Julieta Venegas and Camilo Froideval and recorded with mariachi and string quartet between México City at Topetitud Studios and Women and Loop Studios in Buenos Aires, Argentina with music supervision by Lynn Fainchtein.
Siempre Volaré (En Tus Sueños) is now available on all digital platforms and will be part of the official soundtrack album featuring Rivera’s original score from the heartfelt family drama about a boy who befriends the Mexican mystical creature during a visit to his grandfather’s home in México. The film comes to life starring Demián Bichir, Evan Whitten, Christian Slater, Ashley Ciarra, Adriana Paz, Nickolas Verdugo, Julio Cesar Cedillo and Gerardo Taracena.
Recently Julieta Venegas performed in México this past weekend at the festivals, Pal’ Norte in Monterrey, México and Ceremonia in México City after kicking-off her 2023 Tour in the U.S. Venegas will continue her tour this month in Central America and continue the year with shows throughout the U.S. and Europe.
