Miguel Ángel Guarín, María Fernanda Cuartas and Julio César Sierra from Cali were chosen among the “One Hundred Best Contemporary Artists in the World”, recognition by the Museum of the Americas in the United States and the Library of the European Communities.
Colombia celebrates today that María Fernanda Cuartas, Miguel Ángel Guarín and Julio César Sierra are part of the list of the 100 best contemporary artists in the world, according to the list evaluated by the Museum of the Americas of the United States and the Library of the European Communities.
This recognition gives artists the opportunity to be ambassadors of Colombian art, by leading two world-renowned events: the first called “Colombians in the Louvre”, in which they will be able to exhibit their works in the prestigious Parisian museum that will be out next October.
The second, the opportunity to capture their most outstanding works in the renowned “Golden Book of the 100 best contemporary artists in the world”, which is distributed in nearly 950 prestigious museums and galleries.
It is known that the artists Guarín and Sierra are part of a cubist and surrealist current. While Cuartas has stood out for exploring a new elliptical pictorial language.
