The rumors have finally been confirmed. Through a video published on the official networks of the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival; Tom DeLonge has spoken about Travis Barker’s injury and confirmed that the entire Latin American leg of his 2023 tour will be postponed until 2024.

“I wanted to apologize to all the people of South America for not being able to be there. This was something we wanted to do for a long time and we worked so hard…and we just had one of those accidents that nobody saw coming.”

“Travis has to have this finger surgery and he has to get better before he can do anything else. We are so sad (..) These are some of the most important places for a band to play”.

“(…) So I want you to know that we are devastated, but that we will return to play (…) all that in 2024”.

According to what was reported by the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival, to be held on March 31 and April 1-2; refunds for all those who request them will be available from March 1 to 3 through Ticketmaster.

However, details on refunds for Mexico City and Monterrey are not yet available. Here you can review the clauses for cancellation / postponement of events, which say:

“The refund will be made, for the nominal value of the ticket, during the 30 calendar days following receipt of the request and the instructions established by the banking institutions will also apply to purchases made with bank cards.”

“For its part, for purchases made at the box office or in-person Ticketmaster Centers, the refund proceeds within 90 calendar days after the request.”

Likewise, it has been confirmed that the act that will replace Blink-182 in all their commitments at festivals in Latin America will be Twenty One Pilots (as was speculated). The pop rock duo will perform at the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival, as well as the Lollapaloozas from Brazil and Chile

Last but not least, Blink-182 has promised to return to Mexico and Latin America in 2024, as part of their current global tour in favor of their upcoming, as yet unnamed studio material.
